| Funeral & Color Guard - Relative to Funerals and Wakes, the local Funeral Homes of Whittier-Porter and Morris will contact, in the following order, Commander, Senior Vice Commander and Jr. Vice Commander of this Post, when participation by the VFW is requested. When any of the three Post Officers have been contacted they shall immediately notify the Chairman of this Committee who in turn will organize enough VFW or other Veteran organization members to outfit an appropriate Wake and Internment detail. This Committee, through it's Chairman, shall also be responsible for organizing enough personnel to outfit a Color Guard detail as may be requested. |

| Nomination - The purpose of this committee is to screen and select VFW Post members for nomination to various elected Offices of the Post. The Nomination Committee shall submit to the Commander a list of all nominations for elected office at the appropriate time to be voted upon by the membership present at a scheduled meeting. |

| Programs & Events - This Committee is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of all Special Events, Memorial Day Activities and Veterans Day Activities. This Committee will share in the planning, preparaton and execution of events as may be appropriate with the other three Veteran Organizations in the Town. This Committee shall keep the Commander and membership informed at all times of all events or programs being planned and/or in progress. |

| Scholarship - The Scholarship Committee oversees two types of scholarships sponsored by VFW Post 1093. They are Local School Scholarships and the VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship. This committee will establish criteria for both types of scholarships, screen all applications and select a winner or winners for both types of scholarships. The Post, based upon the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee, will pay directly to the Institution of learning the scholarship amount of the winner or winners. The name and materials of the Post winner of the Voice of Democracy Scholarship will be submitted to the VFW District 10 Committee for further competition up the line to National.
